With over 25 years of experience in the formation, investment, and management of high-profile companies, he has consistently created strong brand recognition and leading market positions.
Scott was the first and largest franchisee of Blockbuster Video. After selling his franchise in 1988, he served as vice chairman of the board and chief operating officer of Blockbuster Entertainment Corporation Worldwide. In 1992, Scott founded and served as chairman and CEO of Boston Chicken, Inc., and four years later as a founder and chairman of Einstein/Noah Bagel Corp. Scott was chairman and CEO of Waldo’s $ Mart, a 350-store retail chain expanding throughout Mexico and Latin America.
Scott has also been a lead investor in some successful technology/internet companies including servicemagic.com; myfamily.com; reel.com; qualvu.com; envision.com; and victorsandspoils.com. Scott is currently an active investor in Pacific Dental Services.
In 1991, he founded the Bowana Foundation, a non-profit corporation with the mission “to help build healthy and loving families through changed lives,” which is consistent with Tango’s purpose to “Glorify God by serving families.”
He is past chairman of the board of trustees of Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. Scott was a board member of USA Wrestling, a member of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, and was the team leader of the Olympic Wrestling Team in 2000. He was also a member of the board of trustees of the Denver Area Council of Boy Scouts of America for many years. He is presently involved in various ministry efforts. Scott has had a long-term relationship with FamilyLife and Cru.
Scott and Theresa have been married for 24 years and have four daughters. They reside in Colorado.
Kerry retired as President of Luxottica Retail, North America—the leading eyewear retailer in the world, with brands such as LensCrafters, Pearle Vision, Sears Optical, Target Optical and Sunglass Hut—capping a 30-year career in consumer-driven businesses.
He received his bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing from Auburn University and his Masters in International Business from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
He began his career in Brand Management with Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio then co-founded 20/20 Research, a marketing research and consulting firm in Nashville, Tennessee. Recruited to his lead client, LensCrafters, he sold his ownership in 20/20 and returned to "big business" where he remained for 24 years, ascending through a variety of management positions to ultimate leadership of Luxottica Retail.
Kerry has focused his ministry service in the local church, serving in various leadership/teaching roles, but also has a long relationship with CRU through its Athletes In Action ministry, based near Cincinnati, and Auburn University campus ministry. He has maintained a long relationship with Auburn University's Harbert College of Business, and currently serves as Campaign Chair for its $100 million campaign, as member of the Advisory Council's Strategy and Resources Committee and has been elected to the Auburn University Foundation Board of Directors.
Kerry and his wife Laura, of 29 years, have recently relocated to Auburn, Alabama as full-time volunteers, with a vision of creating a marriage movement throughout the state of Alabama, starting with their own church (and young marrieds Sunday School class). This has flowed from a several year partnership with Family Life, and leans heavily on Family Life resources such as Art of Marriage, Stepping Up, etc. They have three grown children and one (also grown) son in law.
Crawford was ordained to the ministry in March 1972. He attended Cairn University in Philadelphia, PA graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible with an emphasis on pastoral studies. He and his wife, Karen, married on May 22, 1971.
He's traveled throughout the US, Caribbean, Asia, Canada, South America, Africa and parts of Europe preaching in churches, evangelistic outreaches, conferences, in colleges and seminaries. He has been the featured speaker at Super Bowls, NCAA Final Four Chapel, and the Pentagon with senior military officers.
He and his wife Karen are featured speakers at Family Life marriage conferences. They are co-authors of Developing Character in Your Child. Crawford has written 8 books including newly released, Unshaken.
Crawford has a Doctor of Divinity from Biola University, a Doctor Sacred Theology from Cairn University, a Doctor of Divinity from Moody Bible Institute, a Doctor of Letters from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Doctor of Divinity from Columbia International University. He holds several board positions including CRU (Campus Crusade for Christ). He is a visiting professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Crawford is the host of two national radio programs, the weekend program Living a Legacy, and the daily program Legacy Moments.
They have 4 married children. Bryan, Heather, Bryndan and Holly, and have 10 grandchildren.
Presently, Crawford serves as Senior Pastor at Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, GA.
Dennis Rainey is the President and CEO of FamilyLife, a subsidiary of Cru. Since the organization began in 1976, Dennis' leadership has enabled FamilyLife to grow into a dynamic and vital ministry that offers people God's blueprints for building solid marriage and family relationships.
Dennis has authored or co-authored more than two dozen books including the best selling Moments Together for Couples and Staying Close. He has also received two Golden Medallion Awards from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. Dennis serves as the senior editor of the HomeBuilders Couples Series® which has sold over 2.5 million copies and has been translated into 47 languages.
A powerful and effective communicator, Dennis can be heard daily as host of the nationally syndicated radio program FamilyLife Today. For his work in radio, Dennis is the two-time recipient of the National Religious Broadcasters Radio Program of the Year award. Dennis serves on the board of directors of FamilyLife and Dallas Theological Seminary. He has also served in the past as a member of the board of directors for the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).
Dennis has spoken at numerous Weekend to Remember® marriage getaways across the United States and internationally, but also for Promise Keepers events, YPO University, Fellowship Forum, and at FamilyLife's I Still Do® and Rekindling the Romance® events. He has testified on family issues before congress and has appeared on numerous radio and television programs.
Dennis earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas and a master's degree in biblical studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. He also holds an honorary doctorate from Trinity Evangelical University and Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.
Dennis and Barbara have been married since 1972 and love laughing with their six children and numerous grandchildren. In his spare time, Dennis enjoys helping Barbara in her garden, reading great books, and pursuing his passions for hunting and fishing.
Steve Robinson is former Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Chick-fil-A, Inc. He is currently a member of the Chick-fil-A Board of Directors. In his current role, Steve serves as counsel for the Executive Committee, and Chick-fil-A Private Family Owners, as well as continuing community involvement on behalf of Chick-fil-A.
Prior to his work at Chick-fil-A, Steve was the director of marketing for Six Flags Over Georgia® theme park in Atlanta, Georgia, preceded by Marketing Communications Manager at Texas Instruments. Steve began his career at Chick-fil-A as director of marketing. He then went on to serve as vice president of the department before becoming Chief Marketing Officer. He retired from Chick-fil-A December, 2015. In this former role, Steve was responsible for overseeing marketing, advertising, brand development management, menu development and hospitality strategies for Chick-fil-A®.
Steve serves on several Boards ... He is currently chairman of the board for FamilyLife (a Cru ministry), FCA-Atlanta, Links Players International, Atlanta Hall Management/College Football Hall of Fame, Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and National Football Foundation. Steve holds an Associate of Science in business administration from Faulkner State Junior College, a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Auburn University and a Master's in advertising from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
Steve and his wife, Dianne, have two children and four grandchildren.
Steve Sellers serves as Vice President with Cru and directly oversees all of the U.S. ministries. He serves as the Area Team Leader for North America and Oceania and also serves on the Cru Global Executive team. He lives in Orlando, Fla. with his wife, Christy. They were married in 1979 and have four adult children and 5 grandchildren.
Steve joined Cru in 1976 after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His first assignment was at Marshall University. Since then he has served in many roles including U.S. National Campus Director, Vice President for Global Campus Ministry, and U.S. Ministries Director.
Stephen E. Thorne, IV, B.A., M.H.A., is Founder, President and CEO of Pacific Dental Services, a dental support organization (DSO) established in 1994 and headquartered in Irvine, California. PDS currently provides business services to over 500 dental practices throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Missouri, Kansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee, Florida and Minnesota.
Mr. Thorne began his work in the dental field in 1989 when his father, a dentist, offered him a job managing a struggling dental office. That first office became a big success, and Mr. Thorne continued to work with his father for several years before venturing out on his own and creating Pacific Dental Services.
Pacific Dental Services was borne on the fundamental belief that the company would be the best choice for practicing dentists through the development of efficient systems, dedication to effective quality support services, and a commitment to maximizing individual and professional God-given potential.
Mr. Thorne was instrumental in forming the Association of Dental Support Organizations (formerly the Dental Group Practice Association) which represents some of the largest DSOs in the world, and served as the founding President for the first three years.
Mr. Thorne graduated from the University of California Los Angeles in 1989 with a major in Economics-Business. In 1994 he earned his Masters Degree in Health Administration from Chapman University. He has been married for 25 years and has seven children.
