Dennis Rainey: What's the most meaningful gift you could give your spouse?

Guest: We signed our marriage covenant on Christmas day, my wife and I signed it with our son as a witness. It's the reminder to us each day as we walk past it of the covenant we've made with each other and it's a reminder to our son also of the commitment that his mom and I have made.[ Read Full Transcript ]

Dennis Rainey:I think he gave his wife a great gift on Christmas Day!

My daughter Ashley and her husband Michael signed a marriage covenant, and it's hanging right inside the front door of their home. It's a constant reminder of their promise of fidelity to each other and of their promise to God to guard and sustain their marriage.

Why don't you consider giving your spouse the same gift? Let them know that you'll stay committed no matter what. That, unlike most gifts, your love will never break, wear out, or go out of style.

One final thought. Whether you're a newlywed or you've been married a while, why not consider having a covenant-signing ceremony this Christmas? At FamilyLife, we've created a beautiful, printed covenant that's suitable for framing. If you'd like more information about a covenant signing ceremony, give us a call at 1-800-FL-TODAY.

I'm Dennis Rainey, and that's Real FamilyLife.

I also heard about your printable marriage covenant certificate and, I too, am interested in printing one off and signing it with my husband.

I would love to sign a marriage covenant with my husband. You mentioned that you had one available printed and framed. How do I order one?

This sounds like a great idea. I have been racking my brain to figure out the perfect (but inexpensive) and meaningful gift for my husband. I tried calling, but no one was available. I was wondering where I go to print the Marriage Covenant.
Thanks,
Steph S.
