Dennis Rainey: When was the last time you shared your faith?

Guest: I believe the last time I shared my faith was on an airplane trip and my seatmate and I were discussing things of the world, and we talked about faith and [I] shared a testimony.

Dennis Rainey: One of the most fascinating conversations I've ever had on a plane took place recently. The man sitting next to me was on his cell phone, first arguing in an angry tone with his ex-wife, then undergoing a miraculous personality transformation as he got on the phone with his 12-year-old daughter. When he hung up, our conversation naturally turned to marriage and parenting. Turns out, he's now living with a woman, and they were expecting a child. I asked him if the baby's birth might lead them to get married, and his response was gruff: "Why spoil a good thing with a piece of paper?"[ Read Full Transcript ]



I admit I was a bit self righteousness. I was tempted to tell him exactly what I thought about his sin. But I was reminded that this man's real need was to know God's love and forgiveness. He had made a mess of his life, and he needed to know the One who could help him clean it up. I spent some time sharing the Gospel with him and offering hope. I'm still praying for that man.

One final thought. Perhaps there's someone in your life you need to share the Gospel with today. Don't wait.
