Dennis Rainey: Does your family know what Easter is all about?

Guest: "Growing up, Easter basically just meant going to the local park and doing Easter egg hunts. We never did anything as far as viewing it as, uhh, anything other than just a fun day to go out and there's Easter bunnies and colored eggs."[ Read Full Transcript ]

Dennis Rainey: Hmm. You know, a lot of families are like that young man's. Easter is all about chocolate bunnies, new shoes, dresses, and outfits. In fact, many students on the college campus today -- now we're talking about well-educated young people -- don't even know what the Easter holiday is all about!">

It's very simple. Holy Week centers in on the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For Christians, it's the pivotal event in all of human history.">

In fact, if you want to read more about it, or need a refresher course, why don't you grab your Bible -- even if you do have to blow the dust off of it -- and turn to Luke 19.

One final thought. You don't have to let Easter arrive this Sunday without your reviewing the greatest story ever told.

I'm Dennis Rainey, and that's Real FamilyLife.
