Frequently Asked Questions
1. Who can attend a Weekend to Remember? Who will benefit from this conference?
Couples from all walks of life and in different stages of their relationships have benefited greatly from attending a Weekend To Remember. We regularly receive testimonies from couples stating how God has used the conference to bring them closer to Him and closer to each other.
The conference is open to everyone, whether you are dating, engaged, married (newly or for many years, happily or unhappily), separated, divorced, or remarried. The conference is a fantastic opportunity to get away and learn God's plan for marriage and family.
At the conference, you can learn the solid, biblical foundation on which to build your marriage. You'll learn how to resolve conflict in your relationship, express forgiveness to each other, respond to your mate in love instead of anger, and receive your mate as a gift.
The weeknd's itinerary also includes several separate sessions designed specifically for engaged and pre-married couples. We truly believe this conference is one of the best investments a couple can make in their marriage.

4. Do you offer a reduced rate for people who work as volunteers at your conferences?
Yes, we rely on help from volunteers at every Weekend to Remember conference we hold, and volunteers may attend at a reduced rate or with no registration fee depending on their role. Volunteers help with the tasks of greeting conference attendees, registering them quickly, and making materials available throughout the weekend. Click here for more information.
If finances are a concern, we would prefer that you explore our scholarship option and attend the conference if possible without the distraction of volunteer responsibilities. For more information about scholarships, call us at 1-800-FL-TODAY (1-800-358-6329).
5. What is the policy for hotel accommodations during the conference?
Hotel reservations are the responsibility of the conference attendees at each Weekend to Remember we hold. If you are making accommodations at the conference hotel, when you contact the reservations desk at the conference hotel, mention that you are with the FamilyLife conference, and give the date of the conference to receive the discounted room rate. All hotel reservations are subject to room availability.
We do not require couples to stay in the hotel, however we do strongly recommend it. We recommend it to help couples have more opportunity to focus on each other and the material rather than issues and tensions from life at home. One of our key goals is to help your time to truly be a "weekend to remember" by selecting a hotel that is comfortable and pleasing to everyone. The most important aspect of a marriage conference is active participation, whether a couple stays at home or the hotel. We truly believe this conference is one of the best investments a couple can make in their marriage.
If you are a non-married couple, we ask that you please reserve separate rooms.
6. Can you tell me more about the hotel where our Weekend to Remember conference will be held?
Because each hotel is different, we encourage you to contact the hotel in which the event will be held with questions pertaining to accomodations and room fees. Hotel fees are not included in registration fees and vary according to location.
If you would like to learn more about our policy regarding hotel accommodations during the conference or i all the rooms in the hotel have been booked, please call us at 1-800-FL-TODAY (1-800-358-6329), and one of our representatives would be happy to help you.
7. What is the dress code for the Weekend to Remember?
FamilyLife conferences are casual in nature. Dress comfortably, as you would if you were vacationing in a resort hotel. Some of us are more comfortable in suits, while others are more comfortable in jeans. Most Weekend to Remember attendees fall somewhere in between those two. We all have varying degrees of hot and cold comfort, so plan ahead by bringing short sleeves (even in winter months) and bringing a sweater or jacket (even in summer months).
8. What do we need to bring with us to a Weekend to Remember conference?
When you check in at the conference, you will receive nametags and manuals, which include space for taking notes. You will need to bring a pen or pencil. You may bring a Bible if you wish, but most Scripture passages mentioned during the talks are printed in the manual. As the temperature in conference ballrooms can be cold, you may want to bring a sweater. If you are interested, you will want to be prepared for purchasing resources from the conference resource center.
9. Is food provided at your conferences?
The registration fee for the Weekend to Remember getaway includes all materials that you will need for the conference but does not include lodging or meals. Some hotels may offer a breakfast buffet or continental breakfast with the price of your room. When you make your room reservation, you can ask what services are included and if there is a microwave and refrigerator in the room. We hope you can plan to make Saturday night's "date night" your special evening out but be creative the rest of the time about your meals in and out of the room as needed.
