Pray for FamilyLife

We believe prayer is one of the cornerstones of our ministry. Jesus encouraged His followers to pray at all times and “not to lose heart” (Luke 18:1), and 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to “pray without ceasing.” In James 1:5 we also discover that prayer reveals God’s wisdom to us. Prayer helps define our ministry, so we can’t accomplish our work without continually seeking the heart of God.

It is our great desire to have you partner with us in prayer—to commit to praying for marriage and families, and to pray for the ministry of FamilyLife as we minister to people around the nation and world.

Movements Prayer Journal

Today’s followers of Jesus Christ are hearing a lot about the values of journaling. Portions of George Washington’s personal prayer journal are available online. How many products does Amazon.com now offer that encourage us to explore and recognize the work of God in our lives…by capturing each day’s experiences in a journal, a spiritual diary. Certainly one of the Bible’s chief themes is for his people to be careful to remember what God is like and what He has done (Psalm 77:11). A journal is a good place to record the Lord’s answers to our prayers.A journal can help us grow. And it can deepen the roots of spiritual movements everywhere!

The February 2008 Movements Prayer Journal, from Campus Crusade for Christ International, focuses on God’s plan for the family and features FamilyLife. Below is a list of FamilyLife’s ongoing prayer requests. Occasionally, we may post special prayer requests on this page, so please continue to check for updates. Ongoing Prayer Requests:

Ask God to give us wisdom and direction as we develop new products to help marriages and families.

  • Pray for the people who become new believers at our conferences, that they would quickly find churches and Christian friends to come alongside them to encourage and direct them in life.
  • Pray that the couples who made new commitments to each other at our conferences will find the strength to keep them as they draw closer to God.
  • Ask God to continually provide opportunities for FamilyLife to tell our story as a way to help effectively develop godly families, and that He will continue to expand our outreaches throughout the world, clearly communicating the work that God is doing.
  • Please pray that our staff would be found faithful, walking in the power of the Holy Spirit and in unity, and would be drawn to God’s Word with consistent personal time with Him.
