Family Needs Survey

The Family Needs Survey is a diagnostic tool that enables church leaders to identify their congregations' felt needs. The survey questions cover a variety of topics including:
Congregation's demographics

  • Marriage issues
  • General family issues
  • Parenting issues
  • Spiritual activity

The Family Needs Survey begins with an 8 ½ x 14 scannable form of forty-nine questions to be answered by the adult members of the congregation. The forms are typically distributed at the end of Sunday services and take approximately 15 minutes to fill out. Once the congregation has completed the surveys, the forms are returned to FamilyLife for analysis.

The data from the forms is compiled into a 100+ page report with charts and detailed explanations including:

  • The top areas of need by gender, season of life, and entire congregation
  • Prioritization of congregation's felt needs
  • Church leadership evaluation of effectiveness of meeting felt needs
  • Demographic data regarding you congregation
  • Spiritual activity data pertaining to your congregation
  • Comparison of you church to a national database
  • Brief analysis of next steps for your church

The completed report is then sent back to the church and followed by a telephone call to discuss the results.

Pricing for The Family Needs Survey is based on the total average Sunday worship attendance, including children.
