Become a Volunteer

Families need help!

Wherever you live, you can volunteer to help FamilyLife in your country or another country. Families need your involvement! Volunteers are using their time, energy and financial resources to strengthen marriages around the world. Your involvement can make a huge difference. Here are some opportunities.

Host a HomeBuilders Couples Series Study in your home or offer to facilitate the small group study at someone else’s home. 

You can also volunteer to recruit other hosts or facilitators in your church. You don’t need to be a marriage expert. All you do is facilitate a small group study.

Promote a FamilyLife marriage event near you. 

Invite your friends, neighbors, pastor and church friends to come to a FamilyLife event. To find a FamilyLife event near you, contact the FamilyLife representative in your country for more information. Country contact information is found under Where We Are on this web page and international conference calendar is found under Events.

Volunteer to help translate our materials (FamilyLife resources, HomeBuilders Couples Series) into your language.

Volunteer to help translate or print materials with your finances. 

Many countries want materials in their languages but they lack funding. You can be the answer to their prayers! Other countries want to start our radio program “FamilyLife Today.” Funds are needed for airtime, production and equipment. Contact the Global Outreach team at FamilyLife or the FamilyLife representative in your country.

Take FamilyLife on your mission trip. 

Many churches send teams of volunteers to other locations. In addition to what your church mission trip plans to accomplish, you can take FamilyLife along with you by carrying a suitcase filled with HomeBuilders Couples Series study guides. Ask the local pastor to invite couples to join you for HomeBuilder’s session during the evenings. Train local couples to be facilitators of the group meetings.

Missionaries

Missionaries are having a big impact on families by leading HomeBuilders studies and training nationals to use this series and FamilyLife strategies. If you support missionaries, offer to send them FamilyLife resources to encourage their marriage and provide tools for them to encourage others.
