Howard and Aileen

Howard and Aileen Ostendorff Surely Howard and Aileen have traveled the farthest to join the staff of FamilyLife -- from Nairobi, Kenya, to Little Rock, Arkansas! As international representatives for FamilyLife, they speak at FamilyLife Conferences around the world and train nationals to develop FamilyLife in their countries.

Before becoming staff members of Campus Crusade for Christ 27 years ago, Howard was concerned about the support-raising process. He says, "After 27 years, I can say that God has been more than faithful, and He has supplied! That is a great deal to say when you have two in college!"

Howard and Aileen attended their first FamilyLife Marriage Conference in 1988 while on furlough from Africa. Because it helped their marriage, they decided to bring the FamilyLife Conference to Africa. Howard and Aileen were the Eastern and Southern Africa coordinators for FamilyLife from 1991 until 1999.

The Lord has been at work in Howard and Aileen's family. Howard says: "We have seen God work in our children's lives and in our own to build our marriage and home. We have traveled internationally and given our family a wonderful exposure to quality Christians and mentors as well as modeled a life of faith for them. It has had its trying moments, but we would not trade it for anything!"

Howard describes his typical day in the United States as filled with e-mails, helping ministries in 97 countries grow, working with international training materials, and preparing to speak internationally. He is excited to be part of FamilyLife and says, "There is a sense of family and commitment to a clear cause. The staff is a class act and a pleasure to work with in every way!"
