After serving as a Youth Pastor in Ohio for nine years, Tom and Robyn had seen the importance of the family and strong marriages. They also understood how important it was for their marriage to be strong for the sake of their girls. With their family in mind they attended their first Weekend to Remember marriage conference in November of 2004. "We thought we were simply getting out of dodge for a weekend. Little did we know that the Lord would turn our lives completely upside down."

Although the Lord was opening their hearts for a change in ministry Tom and Robyn had no idea the Lord would call them from the local church into the para-church ministry of FamilyLife through that Weekend to Remember experience. "We thought we would serve in the local church the rest of our lives. We didn't know if was going to be in Youth Ministry or Adult Ministry but we were and still are committed to the local church. However, the Lord made it clear through a series of events that FamilyLife was were He wanted us to be."

A significant part of that confirmation was their responsibilities to raise the financial support needed to serve with FamilyLife. "We had been receiving our income from the generosity of others through the church, but now we needed to ask individuals to give on our behalf and that was an all new experience that the Lord used to grow us in ways we would have never been grown. It was and is a privilege to ask others to partner with us as we join what the Lord is doing here at FamilyLife."

Today Tom and Robyn serve in the Staff Resources division of the Human Resources Department. They both coach New Staff who are all over the country raising their financial support to serve at FamilyLife. Although Robyn does help coach she is primarily a stay at home mom with their three girls. "It's a privilege to come alongside other families as they walk the same road we walked experiencing God's faithfulness and generosity."

Tom and Robyn are amazed at the opportunities the Lord has given them to partner in ministry with hundreds of other families on their support team as well as the staff here at FamilyLife. "The impact the Lord is having as He adds to the staff and through FamilyLife's many outreaches is enormous. What an honor it is to have been called by God to share in the impact FamilyLife is having on marriages and families all around the world."
