Q: Why should I become a group coordinator and form a group?
A. There are three major benefits in forming a group:

  • You can bring help and hope to a hurting couple.
  • You can save your group money. Register at least 1 day in advance of the conference start date and get the early group rate—a savings of $80 per couple.
  • You can save yourselves money. For every five couples who register at any paid rate (excluding scholarships) using your group name, you receive a complimentary couple’s registration. Use this complimentary registration yourselves or transfer it to another couple.

Q: What do I have to do to form a group?
A: There are two steps to forming a group:

  • Activate a personal group name.
  • Invite others to join your group by using your group name to register for any Weekend to Remember conference.

Q: How do I establish a personal group name?
A. Visit www.familylife.com/activate, complete the form, and click submit. When completing the form, please use your ome address and not a church address.

Q: Can I establish a personal group name for someone else?
A. No, the couple requesting a group name is responsible for going online and activating their own group name. They will be asked to provide their information as well as acknowledge a good faith statement to join with us as a group partner.

Q: Why didn’t I receive a confirmation after submitting my personal group name online?
A. Your group name confirmation email was sent to the email address you provided when completing the form used to request the name. Please check your junk mail and spam mail folders, as it may have been sent there. You can avoid this by adding www.familylife.com to your accepted domains.

Q: Now that I have my personal group name, what do I do next?
A. There are three steps once you have your group name:

  • Make sure you have the promotional materials you need. You may order or download materials at www.familylife.com/weekend.
  • If forming your group in a church, plan your promotion with your church staff. Refer to the steps outlined in the Church Promotion Sample Checklist.
  • Invite your friends and family, making sure they understand how to join your group.

Q: When is the deadline for the early group-rate savings of $80 per couple?
A: The early group-rate deadline is at least 1 day in advance of the conference start date.

Q: How do individuals register to join my group?
A. There are four easy ways for your friends to join your group:

  • Directly from your personal group Web page when they have your Web link
  • Through the FamilyLife.com registration form when they enter your group name
  • By calling 1-800-FL-TODAY (358-6329) and mentioning your group name
  • By downloading a registration form at FamilyLife.com and mailing it in

Tell them to be sure to provide your group name regardless of how they register. They will be added to your group, and if they are registering at least 1 day in advance of the conference start date, they will also save $80 per couple.

Q: Can you join a group by registering online?
A. Yes. Online registration became active October 15, 2008. Visit www.familylife.com/weekend for details on submitting your group name when completing the registration form.

Q: Do I need to collect registrations?
A. There is no need to collect registrations. Your guests should be encouraged to register themselves using your group name.

Q: Is it okay to collect registrations if I want to?
A. If you choose to collect registrations for your group, be aware that holding registrations could cause your group to be unable to attend in the event of a sellout. Instead, call or mail in registrations immediately—as you get them—to ensure that seats are reserved.

Q: How many people are needed to form a group?
A. There is no minimum number of people required to form a group. Your group exists as soon as you establish a group name. Those registering with your group at least 1 day in advance of the conference start date will get the early group-rate savings of $80 per couple. Those registering with your group name the day of the event will receive the regular rate, but they still count toward your group total and can help you earn a complimentary couple’s registration.

Q: How do I check to see who has joined my group and when I have earned a complimentary couple’s registration?
A. Visit www.familylife.com/mygroup and enter your name and group name. Or, call customer service at 1-800-FLTODAY (358-6329) and ask for your group status. For every 10 individual paid registrations, you will receive a complimentary couple’s registration.

Q: How do I redeem my complimentary couple’s registration?
A: Call 1-800-FLTODAY (358-6329) to register for any conference and request your complimentary couple’s registration. Or, you can transfer your complimentary couple’s registration to someone else.

Q: How do I transfer my complimentary couple’s registration to another couple?
A. As the group coordinator, you must call 1-800-FLTODAY (358-6329) and register the other couple once the complimentary couple’s registration has been earned.

Q: Can I add couples to my group even after the early group rate deadline (i.e., couples paying the regular registration rate)?
A: Yes, the early group-rate deadline does not affect the formation of your group.

Q: May I keep my group name from year to year?
A: Yes, but you will need to visit www.familylife.com/activate and submit your group name again. We will re-issue your same group name, and all of those in your group will count as part of your group.

Q: What is the group rate?
A. Technically, there is no group rate. Any “paying” registration rate (e.g., regular, early group, military, counselor, gift certificate), excluding scholarships, can be included in your group. The following rates are offered this season:

  • Regular - $129 per person
  • Early Group - $89 per person
  • Active Duty Military - $69 per person
  • Licensed Counselors - $69 per person
  • Gift Certificate - $258 per couple (regular) and $178 per couple (five or more)
  • Gift Certificate group pack - purchase 5 at $178 per couple and receive 1 free couples registration.

Q: Can military personnel join my group and does the 1-day in advance deadline apply?
A: Active duty military can join your group, paying the military rate, for which there is no deadline since it is already lower than the Early Group Rate.  Consequently, the 1 day in advance deadline does not apply.

Q: Is there a special rate for pastors and can they join my group?
A. We offer full-time and/or senior pastoral staff (includes bi-vocational pastors) two special rates—$69 and complimentary. The $69 rate qualifies as a group registration and is available by phone only. The complimentary rate does not qualify as a group registration and is available online only. Q: Are scholarships available?
A. Yes, we offer scholarship assistance. However, the couple requesting the scholarship is responsible for calling 1-800-FL-TODAY (358-6329) to determine if they meet all scholarship qualifications.
