In the mid-eighties John and Ev Baerg were disturbed to see how many Christian marriages were either in trouble or just not thriving. So they added marriage ministry to what they were already doing. In 1988 they hosted the first "Weekend to Remember" conferences in major hotels in Edmonton and Calgary.

FamilyLifeCanada.com was established in 1996.  Conferences have been held in nine provinces, plus the Yukon. They have been presented in English, French, Cree, and Chinese. Our largest conference was in the Victoria (BC) Convention Centre with over 900 attending on one weekend. In 2001 Dr. Dave Currie took over the leadership of FamilyLife and has been a FamilyLife speaker for 15 years. The staff have grown from three to twenty-two.

Marriage Uncensored television program airs on a major network throughout  Canada and available on 348 Public Broadcast Stations across the United States. It can also be viewed on the website.
