The FL ministry started in 1998 in Kuala Lumpur from a FamilyLife weekend marriage conference and Speaker training. From that time FL in Malaysia has continued to grow and develop under the leadership of Michael and Judy Ng directors of FL Malaysia. Their vision is not only to help reach their country for Christ but to partner with other Asian countries. In 2006 the Movement Makers training was introduced to 30 couples representing not only Malaysia, but several other regional countries.

Malaysia?s population is about 25 million which 60% are Muslim, 19% Buddhist, 6% Hindu and 6% Christian. Divorce has been on the rise in the country to the point that the government has invited non-governmental groups, including Malaysia FamilyLife, to participate to help stem the tide.
