Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this conference ‘religious’ in nature?
This is marriage conference, not a Bible conference or spiritual life conference. The focus is on applying time-tested principles to the marriage relationship, using competent and authentic professional speakers, much humor and media.
We do not open in prayer, or sing any Christian songs, coerce “sharing” or any other awkward involvement, and we work extremely hard to make sure that all our conferees feel comfortable. We have 32 years of experience in refining this content and delivery, and adapting it to a contemporary audience.
FamilyLife is a non-profit ministry and clearly adheres to historic, orthodox Christian teachings. We validate our content as being consistent with the Bible, and do teach that a marriage is stronger with a spiritual center, and encourage participants toward finding that center and relationship with God. However, the presentation is tasteful, not heavy-handed, and the content stands on its own, even apart from a Christian commitment.
- What if I don’t like the conference?
If after attending FamilyLife's Weekend to Remember you do not agree that it was one of the finest investments you could make in your marriage, the full registration fee will be gladly refunded upon written request. Requests must be made in writing and received by FamilyLife no later than 14 days after the conference.
- What if I want my friends or family to also attend the conference?
Your Corporate Program group benefits may be extended to allow friends and family to also utilize your Group Name to get the discounted group registration savings when registering prior to 10 days before an event.
- How do I know my employee will attend the sessions and that I will get the benefit of my investment?
Friday night is specifically designed to engage the couples and motivate them to return. As with any corporate event, there will be those who pick and choose their participation, but they will undoubtedly benefit from what they do hear, even if it is not all 10 sessions.
