Dennis Rainey: For more than three decades, FamilyLife has been committed to providing practical Biblical help for your marriage and family. But I want you to know in all the years I’ve lead this ministry, we have never faced the kind of financial challenge we are currently facing. That’s why I’m coming to you today to ask for your help.
The facts are, our donations are down thirty five percent. As a result we’ve laid off about 15% of our paid staff. We’ve cut projects, expenses, and we have begun the process of cancelling this program on some of our partner radio stations. But all these cost reductions are not enough if listeners like you don’t stand with us financially. That’s why I’m coming to you today to ask for your help as a listener.
I want you to know we run a tight ship here. We are charter members of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability. We have no debt. Barbara and I raise our own salary, and give all of our book royalties to FamilyLife. We are committed to being good stewards of every dollar we receive as a ministry.
Now I know many of you are experiencing your own financial challenges. Some of you have even lost your jobs. I encourage you to do what we’re doing; lean heavily upon God. But for those who can, please prayerfully consider making as generous a gift as you can possibly make between now and the end of the year… (today if you can) so that we can continue to operate FamilyLife without having to make further reductions, or cancel FamilyLife Today on even more radio stations.
Now, I want you to listen very carefully to what I’m about to say. I believe we are in an all-out spiritual battle for the family today…It’s war. This is not a time that this ministry should retreat. Generations are at stake. Legacies for evil or good are being formed, even as I read this.
I’m asking God to use FamilyLife to build millions of godly marriages and families. But for that to happen, we must have your help. I’m coming to you today to simply ask for you to help us. Thank you.
