After reading what I wrote in the last comment, I realized I put too many digits in that fact! The CORRECT number should be 1 out of 1,152 couples who pray together or read the Bible together daily will ever divorce!
That's still a great number tho considering the divorce rate is about 50% other wise. Who wouldn't want to spend just a few minutes on a regular basis to "insure" against divorce and raise the sexual satisfaction in marriage by 90%! It's a NO BRAINER!! Start with once a week and work up to doing it daily. At least START somewhere.

Thru marriage mentoring and working with couples, we have heard a common concern from women who desperately want to have this connection with their husbands. Spiritual intimacy improves the marriage relationship. One source says that by spending just 15 min reading a devotional and praying together you can improve the sexual satisfaction in marriage by 90%! AND....that's not all...... Studies show that couples who have a spiritual foundation and spiritual intimacy have a very low divorce rate. Only 1 out of 1,1152 couples who pray together or have regular times of reading the Bible together will ever divorce. (we found this fact in a devotional book, "Just Us" by David and Jan Stoop, week 2 day 5)

Praise God, My husband and I pray every morning together. Before we were married, our prematrial minister really stress that we read a bible verse everyday day and cover each other in prayer everyday. We've been married for three years and have had prayer and bible reading everyday ( I can count the time on maybe both hand that we have not prayed together). I encourge every couple to please pray with and for you mate everyday. It does make the relationship better! God Bless!

I don't know where my husband was spiritually when we married but I tried to get him to pray with me before we went to bed each night. He avoided this by staying up late and watching TV or playing on his computer. This continues today. We are both over 70 and the only time we pray together is to say table grace.

I'm divorced. I wish I would have done this with my wife.
