on Halloween, on a romantic date we don't quote Shakespeare's poems or plays but other writers form our country, closer to our heart and nation, and I could go on forever telling you how different we are in the way we think, dress, eat, learn, plan our vacations or think about politic, just because I am from Europe and you are American (I assume)...
but I will let you read Marla's book on Intercultural Marriage to learn more about these differences and how they can really challenge a couple's life! :)

Maybe this is helpful for you:

As you can see, each population/country has it's own culture, as it is normal and the countries from Europe are no exception. You'd probably be "surprised" but in my European country we don't spent our free time watching or playing baseball or American football, we don't pack peanut butter and jelly for school, we don't even have A's as grades but numbers, our traditional cuisine does not include hamburgers, apple pie or roasted turkey for Thanksgiving (and by the way, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving!), our children don't go trick-or-treating on Halloween, on a romantic date we don'

You must be kidding with this interview! I can understand intercultural as appplying to an American marrying a Chinese or African or, even South American..but a European?? Really? That is considered "intercultural"? That's the stupidest thing I have ever heard. That is NOT intercultural! This lady should have stuck to someone from her hometown!
