This website and other related websites, mobile apps and other digital tools are owned and operated by FLTI, dba FamilyLife®, an Arkansas nonprofit corporation (“FamilyLife”, “we”, “us”, “our”, etc.). We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of Campus Crusade for Christ®, Inc. (also known as “Cru”), a California religious nonprofit corporation. Our websites and services are designed to promote and accomplish our mission of effectively developing godly marriages and families who change the world one home at a time.

In addition to the provisions in these Terms of Use, your use of our Websites and Services is governed by the terms of our PRIVACY POLICY, which sets forth the manner in which we collect and use your Personal Information.

If we make a resource downloadable, you may download one copy of the Website Content for personal use on one electronic device, provided that you do not delete or change any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.

We have made provisions on our Websites for those who are promoting a local FamilyLife event (such as Weekend to Remember® or The Art of Marriage®. For your convenience, we provide downloadable promotional resources that may be used. However, the artwork and content of these promotional resources may not be altered or used for any other purposes without prior written permission.

Claims of Infringement

We are also committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of other parties. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement according to the process set out in the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act. User-Submitted Content (interacting with us online)

From time to time you may upload or submit content (your “Submitted Content”) to our Websites, our social networking pages, and/or through our Services. Submitted Content may include pictures, photographs, videos, animations, other audio or visual works, comments, personal stories and testimonials, written materials, ideas, etc. You understand that we do not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any Submitted Content. Please see our PRIVACY POLICY for ways that you can protect your Personal Information.

You are solely responsible for your own Submitted Content and the consequences of submitting and publishing your Submitted Content on our Websites or through our Services. For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your Submitted Content. However, by uploading or providing any Submitted Content to us through our Websites and Services, you affirm, represent, and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish all such Submitted Content. FamilyLife Publishing does not accept manuscripts or proposals for new works. Please do not send manuscripts to FamilyLife for any reason.

Your use and access to such third party websites is subject exclusively to the terms and conditions and privacy polices of such third party websites. Such links should not be considered endorsements and we do not make any representations or warranties with respect to such third parties, their content, or their websites.

Product Sales and Availability

FamilyLife may sell certain products and materials and offer you the ability to register for events on our Websites or through our Services. All prices for products, event registrations and other materials sold are quoted in United States Dollars and are valid and effective only in the United States at the time of posting. If we provide products or materials for delivery to locations outside the United States, we reserve the right to charge a higher price and/or additional postage, shipping and handling fees for such products. We reserve the right to, at any time and without prior notice, discontinue or change information, availability and pricing on any products, services, and content offered on or through our Websites and Services. You are responsible for any applicable use and sales taxes imposed by your jurisdiction that may apply to any purchases you make on our Websites or through our Services.

FamilyLife reserves the right, including without prior notice, to limit the quantity of items purchased per person, per household, or per order for any reason. We will attempt to notify you should such limits be applied. FamilyLife distributes its product(s) through authorized sellers only. FamilyLife reserves the right, at FamilyLife’s sole discretion, to prohibit sales to dealers, resellers and third parties seeking to resell FamilyLife product(s). For purposes of these Terms of Use, “resell” will be defined as purchasing or intending to purchase any product(s) from FamilyLife for the purpose of engaging in a commercial sale of the same product(s) to a third party.

Counseling

Our Websites and Services are intended to help you develop a family legacy that is based on biblical principles, but FamilyLife does not offer professional counseling. We do provide information on how to select Christian counselors. We also offer FamilyLife eMentoring® program, a program that provides a way for you to seek mentoring or to mentor someone else. In order to participate in that program, you must agree to the FamilyLife eMentoring® Terms of Use.

By accessing and using any of our Websites and Services, including FamilyLife eMentoring®, you are indicating your understanding and agreement that FamilyLife is NOT a medical provider or a counseling agency and does NOT provide counseling services. You understand and agree that our Website Content and Services are NOT substitutes for professional counseling or medical advice and information.

Donations

Any donation you make through our Websites and Services is verified and secure. Like most online transactions, when you make a tax-deductible charitable contribution to us by way of credit card or electronic transfer, the transaction is considered immediate and complete at the time the contribution is submitted. Termination

You can stop using our Websites and Services at any time. We frequently change and improve our Websites and Services. We may change, add to, or remove content or stop providing any of our Websites and Services at any time and at our sole discretion.

General Provisions

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflicts of law provisions. The parties agree to, and do hereby, submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts of competent jurisdiction sitting in the State of Arkansas to hear and resolve disputes arising out of, or related to these Terms of Use, and agree that the exclusive venue for all such actions shall be in Pulaski County, Arkansas. In the event that any one or more provisions of our Terms of Use shall for any reason be held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, any such invalid, illegal or unenforceable provision shall be treated as modified to the least extent necessary to rectify its invalidity, illegality, and shall be enforced as so modified.
