The Art of Marriage Experts

The Art of Marriage® curriculum isn’t just a recording of one or two speakers at a marriage conference. This unique video event and small-group Bible study series features over 40 experts who share from personal experience as well as biblical training. Their expert teaching is woven together with real-life stories, humorous vignettes, and more to portray both the challenges and beauty of God’s design.

Listed below are some of the experts we’ve included.

Dr. Voddie Baucham, Jr., wears many hats. He is a husband, father of six, pastor, author, professor, conference speaker, and church planter. He currently serves as pastor of preaching at Grace Family Baptist Church in Spring, Texas. He and his wife, Bridget, have been married since 1989.

Bryan L. Carter (M.A., Dallas Theological Seminary), is the senior pastor of Concord Church in Dallas, Texas. He is active in the city of Dallas in numerous capacities and hosts a national conference on expository preaching. He is married to his college sweetheart, Stephanie, and they have three children.
Michael Easley (Th.M., D.Min., Dallas Theological Seminary) is an author, speaker, former president of the Moody Bible Institute, pastor, and conference speaker. Michael and Cindy have been married since 1980. They have four children and live near Nashville, Tennessee, where Michael currently serves as a teaching pastor of Fellowship Bible Church.

Dr. Wayne Grudem is a research professor of theology and biblical studies at Phoenix Seminary. He previously taught at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and has served as the president of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, as president of the Evangelical Theological Society (1999), member of the translation oversight committee for the English Standard Version of the Bible, and as the general editor for The ESV Study Bible.

Dave Harvey (D.Min., Westminster Theological Seminary) is a teaching pastor of preaching at Summit Church in Naples, Florida, having served in pastoral ministry since 1986. Dave continues to serve on the board of Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation and travels nationally and internationally preaching on marriage, leadership, and local church life. He is the author of When Sinners Say “I Do”, Am I Called?, and Rescuing Ambition. Dave lives in Tallahassee, Florida, with his wife, Kimm. They have four children.

Mary Kassian is an award-winning author, internationally-renowned speaker, and a distinguished professor at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She has published several books, Bible studies, and videos, including: In My Father’s House: Finding Your Heart’s True Home, Conversation Peace, Vertically Inclined, and The Feminist Mistake. Mary and her husband, Brent, make their home in Canada and have three young adult sons.
Bryan Loritts is lead pastor of Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Silicon Valley, California. Bryan and his wife, Korie, also serve together on FamilyLife’s speaker team. This ministry takes them across the country as they speak at Weekend to Remember® marriage getaways, joining in the fight for healthy, godly marriages. They are also the parents of three sons.

Dr. Crawford Loritts is the senior pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, Georgia, the host of the daily radio program Living a Legacy, an internationally-known Bible teacher, and the author of numerous books including A Passionate CommitmentLeadership as an Identity, and Never Walk Away. Crawford and his bride, Karen, have been married since 1971 and live in Atlanta. They have four grown children and five grandchildren.

Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr., serves as president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. A leader among American evangelicals, Dr. Mohler is widely sought as a columnist and cultural commentator. He is the author of numerous books, including Words From the Fire, and is the host of The Albert Mohler Program, a nationally-syndicated show with the Salem Radio Network. He is married to Mary, and they have two children.
Dr. Russell D. Moore is president of The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, the Southern Baptist Convention’s official entity assigned to address social, moral, and ethical concerns. He is a widely-sought cultural commentator and has been quoted or published by many of the nation’s leading news agencies and periodicals. Dr. Moore blogs frequently at Moore to the Point and is the author or editor of five books. He and his wife, Maria, have five boys.

Tim Muehlhoff (Ph.D., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) has been on staff with Cru since 1986 and currently teaches classes in interpersonal communication, rhetoric, and family communication at Biola University. He is the author of Marriage Forecasting, Authentic Communication, and The God Conversation (with J.P. Moreland). Tim and his wife, Noreen, are frequent speakers at FamilyLife’s Weekend to Remember marriage getaways and live in Brea, California, with their three sons.

Barbara Rainey, along with her husband, Dennis, is the cofounder of FamilyLife. She has written and co-written numerous books on the topics of marriage and family. She is also the creative director of Ever Thine Home®, a line of products for families to express faith at home in a way that is both biblical and beautiful. Barbara and Dennis were married in 1972, and they have six adult children and 19 grandchildren.

Dennis Rainey, along with his wife, Barbara, is the cofounder of FamilyLife—a division of Cru—and a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. Dennis is senior editor of The Art of Marriage® Connect Series and daily host of the nationally-syndicated and award-winning radio program FamilyLife Today®. Dennis has authored numerous books including Staying Close, a winner of the Gold Medallion Award from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. He and his wife, Barbara, have six children and numerous grandchildren.

Bobby Scott serves Community of Faith Bible Church in Los Angeles as the pastor of discipleship. He is an alumnus of UCLA, and holds a Th.M. and M.Div. from The Master’s Seminary. He was the general editor of Secret Sex Wars, a biblical anthology from seven Christian leaders, and periodically blogs at Truth in the City. Pastor Bobby cherishes his family: his devoted wife, Naomi, and his six children.

Paul David Tripp is a pastor, author, and international conference speaker. He is the president of Paul Tripp Ministries and works to connect the transforming power of Jesus Christ to everyday life. This vision has led Paul to write many books on Christian living and travel around the world preaching and teaching. Paul’s driving passion is to help people understand how the gospel of Jesus Christ speaks with practical hope into all the things people face in this broken world. He has been married for many years to Luella and they have four grown children.
