Willie and Rachel Scott are the founders of Better Than Blended, LLC. Together, they have written several books and created resources to support blended families in areas such as, having peace during custody battles, navigating difficulties in co-parenting, and blending within the home while prioritizing the marriage. They have been married for 10 years and have a total of seven children ranging from elementary to adult. Their authenticity about their continual journey of blending is a constant reminder to other blended families that they are not alone.
Willie is an entrepreneur, creative, and freelance graphic designer and Rachel is a writer, speaker, and the founder of the I Can’t Come Down Movement. In their free time, they enjoy reading books together, taking trips, and listening to new songs by their favorite Christian Artist.

Ron and Nan Deal have been married since 1986 and have three boys Braden, Connor, and Brennan. Ron is the Director of FamilyLife Blended®, author of more than a dozen books and resources, and host of the podcast FamilyLife Blended. Nan has a degree in Early Childhood Education and is a teacher with over 25 years experience in public and private schools. Together they enjoy traveling, a good movie, and trying new restaurants.
Gayla Grace serves on staff with FamilyLife Blended, a division of FamilyLife, is the founder of Stepparenting with Grace, and co-founder of Sisterhood of Stepmoms.
She is a writer, speaker, and coach on stepfamily life and is passionate about equipping blended families. She holds a master’s degree in Psychology and Counseling and is the author of Stepparenting With Grace: A Devotional for Blended Families and co-author of Quiet Moments for the Stepmom Soul and Unwrapping the Gift of Stepfamily Peace.
Gayla and her husband, Randy, have been married since 1995 in a “his, hers, and ours” family. She is the mom to three and stepmom to two young adults. Gayla and Randy are recent empty nesters and live in Conway, Arkansas.
Rob is second generation FamilyLife staff. He never dreamed of one day ministering to families until a critical moment when the Lord showed him his first ministry was his family. Rob is now the Mobilization Team Leader for FamilyLife. He is passionate about meeting people in their felt needs, namely career, and relationships, and then being able to point them to their ultimate need, Jesus.
Rob and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Orlando, FL, and have three children; Beckett, Selah, and Darci.
Kathi Lipp is the host of the Clutter Free Academy podcast, and the bestselling author of The Husband Project, Clutter Free, Ready for Anything, and An Abundant Place. She and her husband, Roger, have a blended family and live in the mountains of northern California where they run the Red House Writing Retreats. Using humor and wisdom, Kathi offers hope paired with practical steps to looking to live with meaning.
