Course Description: This course systematically and chronologically covers all 27 books of the New Testament. In addition to providing an overview to each book, it delves into who wrote each book, when it was written, and why it was written. Finally, it considers the unique contribution each book makes thematically to the canon of the New Testament.

Rich Loftness

Rich has overseen and run the IBS program at FamilyLife for twenty years, and is a graduate of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School where he earned two theological masters degrees. One of his favorite pursuits in life is studying the Bible. He has served as a missionary with Cru since graduating from college.

Course Description: This course will complete the survey of the entire Bible. It will summarize the contents of all 39 books of the Old Testament. It will present the story line of the Old Testament period as well as consider dating and human authorship of each book. Prominent themes and theological emphases from this portion of the canon will also be explored.

Course Instructor

Dr. Ishwaran Mudliar

Dr. Mudliar holds the Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and the Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University in Hebrew Bible and Northwest Semitic Philology. He is the Director of the Institute for Biblical Christianity and Pastor at Christ Reformed Church in Mansfield, Texas. He is also an adjunct professor at IRBS seminary. Staff have had much to gain from his extensive yet accessible knowledge of the Old Testament.
