Aamira couldn’t resist any longer. With phone in hand, she ducked into the bathroom, quietly locking the door behind her. Then she began dialing the radio station she’d been listening to. One ring. Two. Her hands were shaking.
When the station answered, Aamira held the phone to her ear, fearful of what she was about to do. Using her headscarf to muffle the voice on the other end, she whispered a question that would threaten her family and her life: “How do I begin a relationship with Christ?”
Aamira lives in a country where Christians are persecuted. She was raised in the dominant religion, as was her husband. But she recently discovered the Christian radio broadcast from one of our global partners, which shares God’s plan for marriage and family. And the Holy Spirit has used it to transform her heart.
She is among a wave of people in the region who have turned to Jesus in recent years through radio broadcasts and other FamilyLife ministries. These include Weekend to Remember events, The Art of Marriage, and HomeBuilder small group Bible studies.
Thank you for helping to open hearts in closed countries!
