Sexual sin isn’t just a vice for men. Women struggle just as much, but in different ways. Christian counselor Ellen Dykas explains that women are often taken with romance books and erotic literature that reel them in emotionally, although more women are discovering pornography in this age of technology. Ellen recalls her own exposure to pornography when she was a young woman, and now helps other women find freedom from sexual brokenness.
Ellen oversees the Harvest USA Philadelphia office's ministry to women. Her ministry is focused on discipleship with women who are struggling with sexual and relational sins in their own lives, as well as women who are impacted by the sexual sins of their spouses or others. Ellen is available to teach, equip and encourage others (churches, organizations) to become more effective in ministering the gospel of Christ into the midst of all aspects of sexual brokenness. She was a missionary in Romania and served on a church staff prior to coming to HARVEST USA in 2007. She has a MA in Biblical Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary, and a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Counseling through the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation in Glenside, PA. Ellen is zealous to help women grow in grace through a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ and the Word of God.
