What is a mentor?
A mentor is simply a more experienced person who comes alongside you at a critical time and offers a listening ear, an encouraging voice, and a guiding hand.
If you’ve been fortunate enough to have a few of these important individuals in your life, you understand the power of a good mentor. And you may also have a heart for mentoring others, though you may not feel up to the task . . . yet.
What is FamilyLife eMentoring®?
FamilyLife has developed an anonymous online system to allow someone dealing with a difficult life issue to interact with a personal mentor via email. These mentors offer one-to-one help and hope by listening to you, praying for you, and encouraging you.
This online mentoring program provides:
- 24-hour access to free online anonymous help
- Custom matching to a mentor
- Guidance and encouragement from a biblical perspective
- Volunteer mentors who will make you feel heard, valued, prayed for and encouraged.
FamilyLife eMentoring is done through True Connection™, a software platform which allows all communication to remain secure and anonymous. Since eMentors are not professionals and are not providing professional or therapeutic services, True Connection is designed to be limited in scope and focused to simply point individuals in the right direction.
Become an eMentor!
If you have a growing love for Jesus Christ, a desire to help others, and life experiences where God has worked in you, you can personally minister to people from the comfort of your own home. FamilyLife’s eMentors are volunteers who receive training and tools from FamilyLife. They typically invest 1-2 hours of online mentoring per week tailored to their unique schedules.
