From days full of diapers to asking life’s questions, let’s pray for our teens.

As parents, we have a front row seat to the growth and development of our children. And we evolve, too. We move through cradling a helpless baby in our arms, to chasing the wild toddler, to feeling all the emotions that come with watching our son or daughter grow into a young adult.

With all the changes along the way, one thing remains the same: Parents don’t always know what we’re doing. As they move into the teen years, gone are the days when we could fix problems with a band-aid, stuffed animal, or reassuring hug.

Psalm 121:1-2 says, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

When we don’t know what to do, we cry out to the One who knows the next step and who can minister to their hearts better than we ever could.

Don’t know where to start? That’s why we created our free, 30-day guides for praying over your teenage son or daughter (two options, one sign up!). From one parent to another, we’ll guide you through Scripture, topics, and specific prayers to pray over your teens.

Because at FamilyLife, we want to join you in strengthening your relationship with your kids … and their Creator.
