Why should your family go on mission?
Paul said, “The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things….” (Philippians 4:9) Are you ready to learn together and put into practice what you’ve learned?
Peter said, “… always (be) ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you…” (1 Peter 3:15) Are you ready to share about the hope in you?
Trust God for big things
Take steps of faith, enter into a new culture, and see people’s lives changed when they hear the gospel all while growing as a team in a biblical, gracious and loving community
Trained to love others and tell them about Jesus
Be equipped to communicate your core beliefs through personal testimonies and evangelistic resources while having a leaner’s posture in a cross-cultural setting.
Take it home
Take opportunities to share the message of Jesus Christ with others during the mission, followed by returning home to practice and apply what you have learned.
Not all mission trips make sense for all ages. Look up our trips based on your family’s current life stage.
A FamilyLife mission is so much more than a commitment during the dates of the trip.
BEFORE you leave your home, you can expect to be equipped through:
- Devotionals done as a family or couple
- 3 pre-trip training meetings or video calls
- Assignments after each video call
DURING the trip:
- A well-planned schedule (You may go sightseeing or visiting friends/family before or after the trip.)
- Daily times for reflection and journaling
- Setting goals for when you return home based on lessons you learned during your trip.
After the trip:
- 1 video reunion for debrief and encouragement

This unique family opportunity will hone your conversational skills, as you learn to ask insightful questions and provide thoughtful answers about faith. Come with us to Ocean City’s boardwalk, where students are eager to talk about God. This is a great opportunity for your teenager to learn to compassionately share Jesus’s good news through interactive training sessions and real-world encounters. Everyone will gain confidence in sharing their faith and will experience how God can impact and change lives through spiritual dialogue.

We will freely distribute the New Testament and the JESUS film—gifts often illegal in their home countries. You will learn evangelism techniques and about crossing cultures, share your faith, and visit the British Museum to explore the Bible’s historical reliability. This outreach is for those with a humble heart, a strong back, and a love for the lost.

Tokyo, Japan
Ages 8+ recommended
Dates: December 4th-December 13th
Cost: $1750 + Airfare $1200
Despite being spiritually open, less than 0.5% of Japan’s population call themselves Christian. However, many are fascinated with Christmas. Join us this December as we reach out to the 33.4 million Japanese in Tokyo who desperately need a Savior. Serving with a church in Tokyo, we will: go on a prayer walk around the city with local Christians, hand out tracks which explain the true meaning of Christmas, and share short video clips on smartphones which can open doors for spiritual conversations. Help the Japanese understand the true meaning of Christmas and possibly receive the greatest gift of all – the gift of salvation.
