Luke Middendorf, President and CEO of FamilyLife

Luke Middendorf is President and CEO of FamilyLife, a role he stepped into in 2025. Whether investing in those closest to him or building global partnerships, he has spent his career equipping teams and families to follow Jesus and serve others with purpose locally, on college campuses, and across nations.

Before joining FamilyLife, Luke spent more than a decade with Athletes in Action, a ministry of Cru, where he built and led teams discipling hundreds of student athletes and coaches annually. He later served nationally, pioneering a training program that equipped Athletes in Action staff teams across the country. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota and a graduate certificate in theology from the Institute of Biblical Studies.

Luke and his wife, Kristina, have been married since 2009 and have two children. Together they have built their family around a shared conviction: that following Jesus means going where he sends you. As a family, they have served on short-term mission trips in Italy, Puerto Rico, Australia, Turkey, and France.
