God’s Perspective | Speaker: Amberly Neese

When we know we are called to be a people of peace, it should change not only how we see others, but how we approach our differences, conflicts, and relationships with one another.

Let’s hear from Amberly one last time as she reminds us of Paul’s list of what we should dwell on. (Hint: It’s not politics, preferences, or positions.)

Challenge: Let’s clothe ourselves with humility by doing the following:

  • Remember that it is impossible to win an argument in the body of Christ.
  • Spend time in both prayer and God’s Word.
  • When in a tough conversation, use phrases like: “Help me to understand,” Tell me more,” or “How did you come to that?”
  • When you feel defensive, remind yourself of the truth of God’s Word. You are NOT your political party, church denomination, favorite color, demographic, or side of an argument. You are first and foremost a child of God.
  • When you speak, work to talk to others, not past them.
