How can someone sold out for God still experience their share of hardships? Ruth and Boaz, much like you and me, walked through difficult decisions and loss. But when life doesn’t go the way we thought it would, we may be tempted to doubt God’s goodness and love toward us. We know He’s there, but we may still wonder, Do You cherish me?

When Ruth lost her husband, she chose to walk deeply into the unknown with God, leaving her homeland to live with people she had never met. Unbeknownst to Ruth, God was providing, planning, and writing a beautiful story from her loss, struggles, and heartache. We saw God use Boaz in incredible ways to show Ruth she was valuable, worthy of love, and treasured.

When facing hardships, it can be hard to see God’s protection and provision for us, rather than believing He is just withholding something good. Like Ruth’s story, we can trust that God is working in expected ways to show us how valuable we are to Him. And He is constantly working behind the scenes for our good, even when we can’t see it.
