Ron: Actually, that was exactly what Dan wanted to hear. He was a widower, and he’d fallen in love again. He was asking his twenty-nine year-old son how he felt about him getting married. At first his son’s response was very positive, but then something changed. His son got angry and resentful. Of course, not all adult children feel this way but it’s not uncommon either.

If you are the parent in this situation stay connected with your child. This transition is a lot harder for them than it is for you, so be patient. If you are the adult child write down your fears and pray about them. Some of them need time and attention. But honestly others just need to be let go of. Ask God to help you decide which is which.
