Ron: Hey, you know a great way to celebrate Christ’s resurrection? Search for eggs.

Ron: Okay, is it just me, or is there a little disconnect there? What do eggs have to do with Easter? Well, long ago the egg became a symbol of the tomb of Jesus. The outer shell hid the fact that there was life going on inside. Just as a bird eventually emerges from an egg, Jesus rose from the dead and broke out of the tomb.

This weekend, go ahead and color eggs but be sure to tell the kids about the resurrection power of Christ that is available to help us overcome our tomb of sin and imperfection. In John 11 Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.” In this, we hope. For FamilyLife Blended I’m Ron Deal.
