Ron: I’m sorry, what’s your point?

Ron: I was explaining to a group of people how FamilyLife Blended ministers to stepfamilies, when a woman in the audience said she wasn’t sure she could support us because, well you know, God hates divorce. I’m sorry, what’s your point? First of all, I’m not even going to get into the difficulties of translating Malachi 2:16 that way, but second, if you’re suggesting that God doesn’t help people nor does He want us to help people if they sin in their divorce; well, if that’s the case the church should just shut its doors.

What’s your point? Look, God’s grace is intended for sinners. Even you. Don’t you want that for others? For FamilyLife Blended I’m Ron Deal.
