Ron: As I get older I’ve become more aware of the patterns in my family—the ones I want to repeat and the ones I don’t. You know, it’s funny. I’ve known about many of the patterns but I didn’t realize how deep they were in me. We say we become more like our parents as we age but maybe we just become more aware that we’ve always been like our parents. By the way, your spouse and friends have tried to tell you that but you just didn’t have ears to hear.
