Jay Stringer

Jay Stringer is a licensed mental health counselor, ordained minister, and nationally requested speaker on the subject of unwanted sexual behavior (i.e., extra-marital affairs, pornography, buying sex, and others).  Based in Seattle, Jay has spent the last decade on the frontlines of demand for sexual exploitation and pornography.  Jay Stringer’s first book, Unwanted: How Sexual Brokenness Reveals Our Way to Healing, is based on a multiyear research project into the stories of 3,800 men and women to address the key drivers of unwanted sexual behavior, why people paradoxically stay in a place of shame, and the journey towards a new sexual story. Jay holds an MDiv and master’s in counseling psychology from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and received post-graduate training under Dr. Patrick Carnes and Dr. Dan Allender while serving as a Senior Fellow at the Allender Center.
