Laura Hendrickson

Dr. Laura Hendrickson was a founding member of the BCC Council. Laura went home to be with her Lord on February 24, 2014. She was trained as medical doctor and board-certified psychiatrist, and spent her life ministering as a biblical counselor, author, speaker, and consultant through Gospel Balm Ministries. Laura was the author of Finding Your Child’s Way on the Autism Spectrum: Discovering Unique Strengths, Mastering Behavior Challenges. She also coauthored two books: Will Medicine Stop the Pain: Finding God’s Healing for Anxiety, Depression, and Other Challenging Emotions, with Elyse Fitzpatrick, and When Good Kids Make Bad Choices: Help and Hope for Hurting Parents, with Elyse Fitzpatrick and Jim Newheiser. A popular retreat and conference speaker, Laura loved sharing principles and encouragement from God’s Word. Her work will continue to bless and benefit our movement for many years to come.
