Day 20: Just Married?
Let marriage be held in honor among all.
—Hebrews 13:4
It’s a little scary how easy it is to go from “Just Married!” to just … married.
In Eden, God pronounced Adam and Eve would become one—a direction they’d have to choose.
It’s a choice we all have to make in marriage. That tends to define if we’ll head in the same direction—or drift apart. We can become more and more one. Or more and more … roommates.
Do you really just want to coexist in your marriage? To be 30 years down the road and have nothing to say?
Maybe you already notice your own marriage’s signs that you’re drifting apart. Go the distance to close the gap between you, as God did with Jesus. Stop the drift and move toward oneness.
It’s time to start growing old . . . together.
