Ron: Discipline and a stern lecture are only for the young, right? Well…

Ron: Yes, that’s what we adults would like to think: discipline is for kids, but nobody has the right to tell me to straighten up. Okay, that would be the mouth of a fool talking. Proverbs 15 says that a person who ignores discipline despises himself. One version says, “…hates themselves.” Man, talk about self-defeating.
But a humble person listens to life-giving correction so they gain understanding and wisdom. Yes, the delivery matters but hey, discipline is for everyone. We all need it and we should all have a mentor who will deliver it. The question is: are we humble enough to receive it? For FamilyLife Blended®, I’m Ron Deal.
