Announcer: For FamilyLife Blended®, here’s Ron Deal.
Ron: It seems the cultural pendulum about marriage is beginning to swing back toward the middle. Some liberal researchers and writers on marriage who have been saying for many years that heterosexual marriage doesn’t matter but that same sex marriage does, are now beginning to recognize that what we’ve done to the family isn’t working. It’s creating generational poverty and unhealthy parenting environments for children.
In other words, they’re saying the wheels are falling off the family bus, so we’d better find a way to put them back on. Well, here’s an idea: how about we just stick to God’s generous blueprints for the family, and trust them, instead of creating our own. For FamilyLife Blended, I’m Ron Deal.
