Ron: The best way to love others is to be caught up in a love relationship with God.
Announcer: For FamilyLife Blended®, here’s Ron Deal.
Ron: “Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself.” Notice the relationship between these two commands of Jesus. You can’t care for others unless you’re caught up in a love relationship with God. The heavenly relationship empowers the earthly one.
But how do you love difficult people? Well, that, too, flows out of our love for and identity in God. You might ask yourself, “How do I love this person out of love for God?” That recalibrates your motives and gets your heart in the right posture. No matter who it is, loving God is the source to loving others. For FamilyLife Blended I’m Ron Deal.
