For example, compared to happy stepfamily couples, those who are unhappy are three times more controlling, six times more critical of each other, and they’re nine times more stubborn.
Contrast that to happy couples who demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit outlined in Galatians 5. They are more patient, more kind, and gentle. Oh yeah, there’s a difference alright between happy and unhappy stepfamily couples and letting God’s Spirit live through you is the first step to a marriage that lasts.
