Ron: Sarah got tired of waiting on God, too. The Bible tells us that she got tired of waiting for the child that God had promised her and her husband, Abraham, so she took measures into her own hands. She gave her maidservant, Hagar, to her husband thinking that they could have a child through her. But all she did was create a stepfamily with a lot of competition, jealousy, and resentment. You know being impatient with God and taking control is never a good idea. It usually just causes trouble for those closest to us.

Me? I hate waiting. But trusting God’s timing means He’s in control and I’m His servant. And that’s always a good thing for both me and my family. For FamilyLife Blended I’m Ron Deal.
