Bob:  That’s real camping, right there.

Dennis:  Yes, the Ritz Carlton is not camping.  That’s what the cabin was.  I’ve heard that story before.  [Laughter]

Well, Arlene, you’ve done a great job of, really, equipping wives in some very practical ways of how to enrich, and encourage, and, really, strengthen their marriages, their husbands, and their families because when the marriage is strong—I’m telling you—it bleeds over into the family relationships.  It helps us, as individuals, feel better about ourselves.   You’ve just done a great job on this.

When James is done with his book, 31 Days to a Happy Wife, we’ll ask you to come back.

Arlene:  That’s right.  I’ll come back.

Dennis:  And tell us whether or not James—

Bob:  Whether it works or not.  [Laughter]

Dennis:  Yes, exactly.

Bob:  Or you know what?  If you can’t wait for James to write the book, we do talk at the Weekend to Remember® marriage getaway about how a husband can honor and serve his wife.  At the same time, we talk to wives about how they can honor and serve their husbands.  So, if you’ve never been to one of our Weekend to Remember marriage getaways and you don’t want to wait for James to write the book, just go to FamilyLifeToday.com—get more information about when there is going to be a Weekend to Remember in a city near where you live.

In fact, we’ve just, this month, kicked off the fall season of Weekend to Remember marriage getaways.  They’re going to be happening in cities all across the country this fall.  Again, more information, online, at FamilyLifeToday.com; or call us, toll-free, at 1-800-FL-TODAY for more information.

If you’d like to get a copy of Arlene Pellicane’s book, 31 Days to a Happy Husband, you can order that from us online, as well, at FamilyLifeToday.com; or call, toll-free—1-800-FL-TODAY is the number, 1-800-358-6329.  That’s 1-800- “F” as in family, “L” as in life, and then, the word, “TODAY”.

Well, tomorrow night, I am going to be in Indianapolis for the True Woman ’12® event that is happening in Indianapolis—looking forward to being at that event with Nancy Leigh DeMoss and others—the Revive Our Hearts® ministry—friends of ours, who are putting that together.

A few years ago, I was at one of the True Woman events and had the opportunity to speak on a subject that’s similar to what we’ve talked about here today.  My message was called “What Husbands Wished Their Wives Knew about Men”.  I just talked from a guy’s perspective about how we think as guys—what matters to us, what’s important, how a wife can really honor and encourage us, as guys—not because wives need to do that and men don’t need to do the same thing with their wives—but I had a room full of wives—so, I talked from that perspective to the wives.

We have that message on CD.  If you’d like to get a copy, we’re making it available, this month, to those of you who help support the ministry of FamilyLife with a donation.  All you have to do is go to FamilyLifeToday.com and click the button that says, “I CARE”.  Make an online donation.  We’ll send the CD out to you, or call 1-800-FL-TODAY to make a donation over the phone.  When you do that, ask for a copy of the CD so that we know that you’d like to receive it.  We’ll be happy to send it out to you.

We are listener-supported.  Those donations are what make this program possible.  They cover the costs of producing and syndicating FamilyLife Today.  We want to say, “Thanks,” in advance, for whatever you’re able to do in support of the ministry.  We’re happy to send you the CD as our way of saying, “Thanks for being teammates with us.  We appreciate you.”

We want to encourage you to be back with us again tomorrow when we’re going to talk about that season of life when the kids head off, and it’s just you and your spouse.  We’ll hear from Barbara Rainey and Susan Yates tomorrow about how women can get ready for the empty-nest phase of life.  I hope you can tune in for that.

I want to thank our engineer today, Keith Lynch, and our entire broadcast production team.  On behalf of our host, Dennis Rainey, I'm Bob Lepine.  We will see you back next time for another edition of FamilyLife Today

FamilyLife Today is a production of FamilyLife of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Help for today.  Hope for tomorrow.

We are so happy to provide these transcripts to you.  However, there is a cost to produce them for our website.  If you’ve benefited from the broadcast transcripts, would you consider donating today to help defray the costs?
